Renewed Classic American Burger


  • 1 package Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Based Burgers
  • 2 Brioche Burger Buns
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 6 Butter Lettuce Leaves
  • 4 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
  • 1 Heirloom Tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 White Onion, diced
  • 1/4 tsp Salt


  1. To make the caramelized onion, add the diced onion to a hot skillet with a bit of olive oil. Sautee on medium-low heat until caramelized then season with a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Based Burgers in a lightly oiled skillet over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes per side, until heated through and lightly browned.
  3. Turn off the heat, add slices of pepper jack cheese to the Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Based Burgers, then add a couple of ice cubes and cover the skillet. This will allow the cheese to melt evenly.
  4. Lightly toast the burger buns then assemble by adding ketchup to the bottom bun, followed by some butter lettuce, the cooked Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Based Burger with the melted cheese, the caramelized onion, a slice of tomato and the top bun. Serve immediately.
