Plant-Forward Sausage Christmas Wreath

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Forward Sliced Sausage
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Dairy-Free Puff Pastry Sheet 
  • 2 Tablespoons Dairy Free Milk
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Forward Sliced Sausage in a lightly oiled nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes per side, until heated through and lightly browned. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Sprinkle a clean work surface with flour then place the puff pastry sheet that has been defrosted in the refrigerator overnight on top. Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll out the puff pastry sheet into an 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Next, using a sharp knife, cut the puff pastry sheet into even triangle shapes.
  5. Place the puff pastry triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper into a circular pattern making sure they overlap a bit.
  6. Place the Cutting Vedge™ Plant-Forward Sliced Sausage on top of the inner circle of the puff pastry triangles then fold the triangles over the sliced sausages. Pinch to seal and discard any excess puff pastry dough.
  7. Lightly brush the top of the puff pastry with dairy-free milk then bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden browned and fully cooked.
  8. Serve with warmed cranberry sauce.
